Hire an n8n, Make or Zapier Automation Expert on Fiverr (2026): Costs, Scope and How to Vet
Short answer: a first n8n, Make or Zapier workflow on Fiverr usually costs $100 to $400, and Fiverr's own cost guide puts simple two-app setups at $40 to $200 and advanced systems at $800 to $3,000 or more. On top of that you pay Fiverr's service fee and the monthly bill of the automation tool itself.

How we researched this: We did not place a test order for this guide. We compared Fiverr's August 2026 cost guide for AI and automation experts, an independent reading of 317 public Fiverr reviews of automation sellers (Brief & Hire, September 2026), and the official pricing pages of n8n, Make and Zapier, which we opened on October 10, 2026. Prices change, so confirm them on the live pages.
What an "automation expert" does on Fiverr
An automation expert connects your apps so work moves without you. A form fills a spreadsheet, a new lead lands in your CRM, an invoice gets a reminder, an email gets sorted. Most sellers build this in one of three tools. The tool you pick shapes the price, the monthly bill and who you can hire.
| Tool | Best for | Where to start on Fiverr |
|---|---|---|
| n8n | Complex logic, AI steps, self-hosting and data control | n8n experts |
| Make | Visual multi-step scenarios at a low monthly price | Make.com experts |
| Zapier | Quick, simple connections between popular apps | Zapier experts |
| AI agents and integrations | Workflows where a model reads, decides or writes | AI agent developers · AI integrations |

How much does an automation expert cost on Fiverr in 2026?
Three views of the market agree on the shape. Most first orders are small, a clear minority are large, and the starting price on a gig is only the price of a conversation.
| Source (date) | What it measures | Number |
|---|---|---|
| Fiverr cost guide: AI automation experts (Aug 3, 2026) | Average project price from marketplace data | AI and automation experts $75 to $520 per project; hourly $18 to $150 |
| Fiverr cost guide (Aug 3, 2026) | Process automation by scope | Basic $40–$200 · intermediate $200–$800 · advanced $800–$3,000+ |
| Brief & Hire, 317 reviews (read Sept 2026) | What buyers paid on automation gigs | 29% under $100 · 39% $100–$400 · 21% $400–$1,000 · 12% over $1,000 |
| Brief & Hire (Sept 30, 2026) | Basic package starts on vetted gigs | $100 to $600; some newer sellers from $35 |
| Remote AI Tools (Aug 8, 2026) | Fiverr n8n projects | $75 to $500+ per project |
Put together, a single workflow that links two or three apps sits at $100 to $400. A build with branching rules, error handling and several tools sits at $200 to $800. A full system, with several connected workflows and AI steps throughout, starts around $800 and can pass $3,000.
The Fiverr guide also says AI-powered automations cost 50 to 100 percent more than plain rule-based ones, and each extra integration point adds roughly $50 to $200. Testing, documentation and training usually add another 20 to 35 percent. Ask whether those are in the quote.

The monthly bill the gig price does not show
The seller builds once. The automation tool bills you every month, and each tool counts usage in a different way. This is the cost most buyers forget.
| Tool | Entry price (official page, Oct 10, 2026) | What it counts |
|---|---|---|
| n8n Cloud | Starter €20 a month billed annually, 2,500 executions; Pro €50 a month, 10,000 executions | One execution per full workflow run, however many steps it has |
| Make | Free: 1,000 credits; Core $12 a month for 10,000 credits; Pro $21 | One credit for most module actions, such as reading or writing a row |
| Zapier | Free: 100 tasks; Professional from $19.99 a month; Team from $69 | One task per successful action step; the trigger does not count |
Here is what that means for a real workflow. Say yours has one trigger and five action steps, and it runs 1,000 times a month:
- n8n counts 1,000 executions. That fits inside the 2,500 on the Starter plan.
- Make counts about 5,000 credits, one for each module action. That fits inside the 10,000 on Core.
- Zapier counts about 5,000 tasks, because each successful action step is a task. You would need a higher task tier than the entry plan.
Filters, formatters and paths in Zapier do not use tasks, and error handlers in Make do not use credits, so a careful builder can lower these totals. n8n also offers a free self-hosted Community Edition, but then you pay for the server and someone has to keep it running. Fiverr's guide puts ongoing maintenance agreements at $50 to $500 a month and automation tool subscriptions at $20 to $500 a month.
Before you order, ask: "How many runs a day do you expect, and what will that cost me each month on my own account?" A good seller answers with a number.
What each budget realistically buys
| Budget (before fee) | Realistic scope | Good fit? |
|---|---|---|
| Under $100 | Two apps, one trigger, no branching: form to sheet, new order to Slack message | Fine for a test or a small fix |
| $100 to $400 | Three to five apps, a few rules, a failure alert and a short how-to note | Best value for most small businesses |
| $400 to $1,000 | Several workflows, routing rules, AI step for sorting or summaries, tested hand-over | Yes, with milestones |
| $1,000+ | CRM rebuild, many tools, custom API work, monitoring and a support window | Prefer a Pro seller or agency |
These tiers are our buying guide, built from the Fiverr and Brief & Hire ranges above. They are not a Fiverr standard. Always read the exact package list on the gig.
Why two quotes for the same job can differ by five times
Picture this brief: "When someone fills my form, add them to a sheet and message me." One seller reads three steps that work once in a demo. Another asks what happens when the sheet is renamed, the token expires, the form sends the same entry twice or the app is down for an hour.
Both can be honest. They are pricing different products. Brief & Hire's September 2026 guide names the usual drivers: the number of steps and tools, the number of decisions, whether it must run unattended, how messy the data source is, AI steps, where it runs, and hand-over. The cheapest quote often leaves out the unattended part, and that is the part you need most.
How to vet an automation expert on Fiverr: 9-point checklist
1. Write the task as numbered steps
List the trigger, each app, each rule and the final result. Sellers can only price what you write down. If you cannot describe it in steps, pay for a small paid consultation first.
2. Pick the platform before the seller
Search for the tool you want, not just "automation". A seller who says "I can use anything" is a weaker signal than one who explains why n8n suits your volume and Make suits your budget.
3. Ask for a failure alert
Every run that fails should send you a message. Without it, the automation stops quietly and you find out when a customer complains.
4. Ask for protection against double runs
If the same trigger arrives twice, you should not get two invoices or two emails. Ask how the seller prevents it.
5. Keep every account and key in your name
Create the automation workspace and the app logins yourself, then invite the seller. Never share your main owner password. Change any shared key after delivery.
6. Check reviews that match your order size
A 5.0 rating from $25 orders says little about a $600 build. Look for reviews that mention similar tools and that describe what worked after delivery, not just fast replies.
7. Ask for a running-cost estimate in writing
Platform plan, server if any, and AI usage per month. Put the answer in the order chat so it is part of the record.
8. Put an acceptance test in the brief
Here is a line you can paste:
Final payment after three unattended scheduled runs, one forced failure that alerts me, and one duplicate-run test. All credentials stay on my accounts.
9. Test inside the auto-complete window
Fiverr completes an order automatically three days after delivery if you do not respond. Run your tests in that window, not next week.
Red flags in automation gigs
- "I'll host it for you" with no export. If the workflow only exists on the seller's account, you cannot move it.
- Asking for your owner login or card details. A collaborator invite or a scoped API key is enough.
- A price far below the category range with no scope. A $10 gig may be a template, not your workflow.
- No word about errors, logs or testing. That usually means a demo, not a working system.
- Pressure to pay outside Fiverr. You lose payment protection and the Resolution Center.
Fiverr, Fiverr Pro, Upwork or an agency?
| Option | Typical cost | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Fiverr (well-reviewed sellers) | $100–$400 for a first workflow | Clear scope, two to five apps |
| Fiverr Pro | Higher starts; Brief & Hire lists vetted automation gigs from $125 to $600 | Buyers who want vetted sellers on bigger builds |
| Upwork | Hourly or fixed contracts, usually longer projects | Evolving work and ongoing maintenance |
| Agency | Quoted per project, often thousands of dollars | Compliance, security reviews and many systems |
Our Fiverr Pro review explains the guarantee and how vetting works, and our Fiverr vs Upwork comparison helps when the project may grow. If the automation belongs to a new site or store, see the web developer guide and the Shopify store setup guide.
A first-year budget example
A small online shop wants new orders to reach its sheet, its email list and its team chat, with an alert if anything fails. A realistic year looks like this. Your numbers will differ:
| Item | Cost |
|---|---|
| Workflow build ($250 package plus Fiverr fee) | $263.75 |
| Make Core plan (12 months at $12) | $144 |
| One small fix order after launch | About $50 to $100 |
| Total for year one | About $460 to $510 |
The tool bill is lower than the build, which is normal for a modest workflow. It flips when runs climb into the tens of thousands or when an AI model sits in every run, so measure usage in the first month.

FAQ
How much does it cost to hire an n8n, Make or Zapier expert on Fiverr?
Fiverr's 2026 cost guide puts basic automation projects at $40 to $200, intermediate multi-app builds at $200 to $800 and advanced systems at $800 to $3,000 or more. In 317 reviewed orders, 39% cost $100 to $400, which is where a first workflow usually lands.
Is n8n, Make or Zapier cheaper to run?
For the same workflow, n8n and Make are usually cheaper than Zapier because they bill differently. n8n counts one execution per full run, Make counts a credit per module action, and Zapier counts a task per successful action step. Check the live pricing pages before you decide.
Should the automation run on my account or the seller's?
Yours. Create the n8n, Make or Zapier account yourself, connect your own apps, and invite the seller as a collaborator. If the workflow lives on the seller's account, you are renting it and leaving can mean a rebuild.
What should an automation acceptance test include?
Three unattended scheduled runs, one forced failure that sends you an alert, and one duplicate-run test. Final payment should wait until all three pass on your own accounts.
How long does a Fiverr automation take?
Fiverr's guide puts simple two-app setups at about 1 to 5 days, medium multi-tool builds at 1 to 2 weeks and enterprise-style projects at 4 weeks or more. Agree the date in writing and split anything over two weeks into milestones.
Did TrustScore test these sellers?
No. We did not place test orders for this guide. It is based on Fiverr's published cost data, an independent reading of 317 public Fiverr reviews, and the official pricing pages of n8n, Make and Zapier, all checked on October 10, 2026.
